02 Ingredients

For the Marinade:

  • 2 Pork Chops (bone-in or boneless, about 1 inch thick)

  • 2 tbsp Butter (melted)

  • 1 tbsp Fresh Parsley (chopped)

  • 1 tsp Fresh Thyme (chopped)

  • 1 tsp Fresh Rosemary (chopped)

  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder

  • Salt (to taste)

  • Black Pepper (to taste)

  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil (for searing)

03 Method

    Step 1
Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).

    Step 2
In a small bowl, combine Melted Butter, Fresh Parsley, Fresh Thyme, Fresh Rosemary, Garlic Powder, Salt, and Black Pepper. Stir until everything is well combined.

    Step 3
Pat the Pork Chops dry with paper towels. Heat Olive Oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the Pork Chops for 2–3 minutes on each side until golden brown.

    Step 4
Transfer the seared Pork Chops to a baking dish. Brush the butter and herb mixture generously over both sides of each pork chop.

    Step 5
Bake the pork chops in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes, or until they reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). The outside will be golden and crispy while the inside remains tender and juicy.

    Step 6
Let the pork chops rest for 5 minutes before serving.

    Step 7
Serve with your favorite side dishes, such as roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad.

Cooking Tips

  • Use Fresh Herbs:

Fresh herbs like thyme, rosemary, and parsley enhance the flavor of the butter and pork. If using dried herbs, reduce the quantity to avoid overpowering the dish.

  • Rest the Meat:

After baking, allow the pork chops to rest for 5 minutes before serving. This helps redistribute the juices, ensuring a moist and tender chop.

  • Make It Extra Creamy:

For a richer sauce, you can add a tablespoon of heavy cream to the melted butter mixture before brushing it over the pork chops.

Food Pairing Suggestions

  • Side Dishes: Serve with creamy mashed potatoes or roasted sweet potatoes for a comforting meal. Roasted Brussels sprouts or steamed broccoli make for excellent vegetable sides.

  • Sauce:

A tangy apple or cranberry sauce will complement the richness of the pork and butter, adding a refreshing contrast.

  • Wine Pairing:

Pair this dish with a medium-bodied white wine like Chardonnay or a light red wine like Pinot Noir for a balanced meal experience.
